During KL Flickr meet’s recent trip to Kuala Selangor. I managed to shoot the sweet and demure Aishah, who in my opinion encompasses the true Malay beauty. She was such a star by posing throughout the day tirelessly and looking spot-on despite the scorching sun. The locations were mainly at the Palm Oil Plantation in Ijok, paddy field and Bukit Malawati, Kuala Selangor.

Posted in Weddings with tags civil marriage, wedding photography on January 22, 2008 by ashaharkerI had the opportunity to document Karunagaran & Sunita’s registration at the ‘Sri Sivan Temple’ in Klang last Sunday. The weather was great in the morning and the crowd at the temple was truly robust as there was a wedding set to take place around the same time as well.
Both Karunagaran and Sunita were beaming with happiness and their families overjoyed. The registration room at the temple ground was quite small but the ceremony was over in a jiffy. The blissful couple left after the temple blessing.
A big congratulations to the lovely couple and thanks for making me apart of your happy occassion !
Portraits of Lydia
Posted in People Portraiture with tags portrait photography on January 14, 2008 by ashaharkerHere are some shots taken of Lydia, a local model during the recent lighting workshop I did with sifu Ted Adnan. It was an educational workshop into the insights of Flash Photography. I also had the opportunity to meet 4 other enthusiastic photogs – Wan Husmi, Wan Azlan, Amri & Ahmad Fairus. We got a chance to learn about ‘understanding your flash, fill in flash technique, mix lighting with flash and multiple flash set-up. It was an interesting but tiring session. But well worth it !
